All anglers must have a National Rod Licence. Licences are checked on a regular basis and all fishermen are advised to ensure they have their licence with them; failure to produce a valid licence means they will not be able to fish the water.
The fish content in the Lido consists of large shoals of Bream, Perch, approximately 20 carp and average size pike. There is no fishing for pike during the summer season. The pike fishing season commences 1st October every year.
Fishermen are not allowed BBQs or fires on the banks and no boats must be used. No fishing is allowed from the beach or from the area between the pub and the boathouse (where most of the wild life congregate).
For the full rules and regulations relating to fishing, please study the notice board situated on the boathouse.
